Tip of the Week: One of the most common form of animal cruelty is the abandonment of dogs. As pet owners fail to understand and control the behavior of their dogs when they go around chewing shoes and furniture, barking, urinating in the wrong places, etc, they 'give up hope' and abandon them.

Well, it is our responsibility to spend some quality time daily to train your dog! It will take some patience, and a lot of love. But remember, just like us human, learning as we get older, animals learn as they grow too! And what is better than to spend some quality time to bond with man's best friend?

Animal Cruelty: Sentenced to Death

Imagine this ... a high-powered electric current was applied onto your skull, meant to kill you, but yet only managed to shock and paralyze you, unconscious for less than a minute.... you regain consciousness, ropes tied to one leg, you were hanged upside-down, they slit your throat, you are now bleeding slowly, but because you were hung upside-down, blood still running through your brain, you are fully aware of your slow and painful death... you cry but only blood flows.... no one is going to hear you...

This is the plight of the poor creatures, whose lives end by being meat on our plates...

May God have mercy on us all...

Cat Glued to Minessota Highway Rescued

Another insane and mindless act of animal cruelty.
This time, a cat, an orange tabby, was glued alive to a Minnesota interstate highway and left to die. Apparently, the perpetrators were hoping that the cat will get run over by passing traffic, or maybe die a slow death by starvation or get killed eventually by the elements. (?)

Fortunately, a passing couple saw the cat at the side of the road, thinking that it might be drawing it's last breath after it had been hit by a car. After investigating and realizing that its still alive, they picked up the cat. Unfortunately, the glue ripped off the cat’s paw pads, along with some of his claws.

“We’ve never seen anything like it,” said the Second Chance Rescue crew. Second Chance named the cat Timothy and provided the necessary medical attention.

Timothy is now recovering in the care of a foster family. Second Chance says the cat could be up for adoption once he’s recovered.

Campaign to Tackle Puppy Mills in Missouri

Pet Store Puppies Come From Puppy Mills - The best home videos are here

Sometimes, we, the so called animal lovers, are actually contributing to the suffering of many poor animals without even knowing it.

How would you feel if you are kept in a cage, for your whole life? No room to run about. Living in putrid conditions. Exposed to the sun and rain. Having your infants separated from you almost as soon as they were born?

When we bring our kids to go 'shop' for a puppy or spending hundreds or thousands on a pure breed, or buying a puppy as a gift to friends and family, we are directly creating a demand for these puppies. And, as the law of money making goes, as long as there is a demand, people out to make a quick buck will ensure that the supply is there.

Puppy mills are just as evil as factory farming. It is brutally cruel. Period.

Please, if you really want to have a pet as a companion, to love and to care for it, Adopt, Don't buy. Look into their eyes, and do the right thing. For every scar, every sore, and every imperfection that you see on the poor creature's body, tell it that you will love it even more, for in so doing, we may have a glimmer of hope that their bruised and broken heart may be healed over time.

You can help! -> How you can support the Missouri campaign.

More sadness....

Dog thrown off bridge dies

Pepper, the poor dog that was thrown off a bridge by a teenager in Lithuania, has died.

I didn't want to post this sad news, but many have emailed me to enquire on its condition.

Although initially thought to have survived the fall, Pepper didn't manage to recover from the multiple injuries, and has since moved on to a better place.

I hope and pray that Pepper did not suffer and died for nothing, and that he is in a much better world now.

RIP Pepper...
